1989 With just 25 staff onboard, Telekom Publications was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of
Telekom Malaysia.
1990 The first set of directories namely the Yellow Pages and White Pages was published
1993-1994 Sales continued to grow by about 24.4 percent and Telekom Publications chalked up its first pre-tax
profit.
1994 The first niche publication, Malaysia Tourist Pages, was launched and revenue continued to increase by
20 percent.
1996 The company took another step further in the business by introducing the Internet Yellow Pages to
support the printed version.
2000 Full colour advertisements were incorporated into existing layout of Yellow Pages directories. In the
same year, we launched Halal Pages, Corporate Agricultural Directory and Malaysia Energy Guide.
2006-2007 The company was renamed TM Info-Media Sdn. Bhd. The Yellow Pages directories added new sections for
faster searching capabilities. The Malaysia Tourist Pages was revamped with collaboration with Tourism
Malaysia, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism.
2008 Yellow Pages TV and e-Yellow Pages directories were launched. Now the tech-savvy can do their contact
and classification search at the touch of a button.
2011 The ’Yellow Pages for Home’, our lifestyle guide was launched, targeting home owners and consumer
market.
2012 Malaysia Yellow Pages underwent major rebranding exercises by enhancing the yellow tone and revamped the
famous ‘walking finger’ logo. This year also marked our partnership with Google and HyppTV to provide
wider advertising platform for our clients. Our Malaysia Tourist Pages was given a complete make-over
and reborn as ‘Destination Malaysia’.
2013 ‘Destination Malaysia’ website www.destinationmalaysia.my
was launched to reach out to the travellers looking for information within Malaysia
2014 The new Internet Yellow Pages (www.yellowpages.my)
is ready with enhanced features and user-friendly layout. ‘Destination Malaysia’ is further supported
with a mobile apps for IOS, Android and Windows users. After two years, the look-and-feel of ‘Yellow
Pages for Home’ was revamped to serve the targeted users.
